A woman named Hana was drying her fabrics on one summer day in late 1800s (final years of Edo Period), but they accidentaly got wet from a sudden rain, then shrank when the sun came back and dried them up. They were bumpy & beautiful. After trial & error, Awa Shijima Weaving was born.
All my bolts are deadstock, not new, may have light spots
